Nigerian Starboy boss and singer, Wizkid reveals why he is yet to produce superstars like the rest of his colleagues in the Nigerian music industry.
The Afro-Pop singer has been long criticized for not bringing out superstars as Davido, Olamide and the rest have consistently done.
According to him, 2021 is going to be different as he has put up plans to bring out several talented Nigerian artistes.
The Starboy singer who recently released an album he titles “Made In Lagos” told D Boy Dayo and Mansour on The Beat 103.6 FM London.
“There’s a reason why I haven’t like truly put a lot of artists through from back home at the same time. First of all, I’m my own boss and I don’t take orders from nobody,” he says.
“I’m my own accountant, I’m my own everything. So it’s like I have to make sure we’re bringing out the best of the best talent. We’ve been working on certain things for years and I feel like 2021 is gon’ be amazing.”
We do hope the young brother will keep to his words, because, there are scores of young talented Nigerian artiste, who are dying to sign a deal with a successful record label like Starboy Records.
