But before we begin, let us first and foremost ask God to forgive our sins in order that He might listen and hear us for the bible says:
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.Proverbs 28:13.
I acknowledged my sin to you and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sinPsalm 32:5
Have mercy on me,O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions.Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!Psalm 51:1-2.
Prayer Points And Declarations For Saturday 30 October 2021.
Today we are going to pray God to forgive and deliver us from the spirit of covetousness.
Think about those times someone has worked for you and you refused to pay them their wages.
How about those times you have claimed what was meant for yourself and others alone.
Now is the time to repent and ask God to take away His anger from you.
And also to give you the grace to avoid this sin from now henceforth.
Pray with the scripture below:
“Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness
And his chambers by injustice,
Who uses his neighbor’s service without wages
And gives him nothing for his work,
Who says, ‘I will build myself a wide house with spacious chambers,
And cut out windows for it,
Paneling it with cedar
And painting it with vermilion.’
“Shall you reign because you enclose yourself in cedar?Jeremiah 21:13-17.
Did not your father eat and drink,
And do justice and righteousness?
Then it was well with him.
He judged the cause of the poor and needy;
Then it was well.
Was not this knowing Me?” says the Lord.
“Yet your eyes and your heart are for nothing but your covetousness,
For shedding innocent blood,
And practicing oppression and violence.”
We make all our prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen.
