In this post we are going to look at the meaning of the quote: “I like freedom. I wake up in the morning and say, ‘I don’t know, should I have a popsicle or a donut?’ You know, who knows?” by Oscar Nunez.
Meaning of the quote.
What else makes life sweeter, but freedom!
If you want to know the essence of freedom, then go to the prison yard and see those who are locked up.
Or watch how a slave is commanded to carry out his duties.
Can you seem to fathom the thoughts of someone having to order you around? And setting time and places for you to do everything?
If there is one thing we should cherish most in life, I think it’s freedom.
But then, what robs mankind of freedom?
What else but disobedience.
If you break the law, you will definitely be deprived of your freedom when you’re locked away.
But is this the only enemy of freedom we can see?
How about that one that hides and eats us slowly on the inside?
You have a grudge against someone and carry him or her in your mind all day, all night.
Every time you close your eyes or turn around, that person is there.
Imagine how you have created a prison yard inside your own mind and robbed yourself of freedom.
Now instead of reaching out for a popsicle or a donut, you will be thinking about how you are going to face that person when you see him today or probably take revenge in some way.
Why not set yourself free now and grab a popsicle or donut-like, because am a Freeman and I love freedom.
