How I personally get my motivations.
For most of my life, I must really admit that I used to leave so many goals undone.
Probably because I never used to be much successful.
And you know that, succeeding or being successful is what energizes and motives us humans.
At a point in time in my life, I went through a very dark season of depression which left me indoors for about 3 years.
During this time, I was left feeling weak and tired, I lacked inspiration and thought my life was a complete failure.
My days were spent in grief and sadness.
I tried several ways to physically motivate myself, but all to no avail; until I eventually took the following approach I am going to share with you in this article.
How to motivate yourself everyday.
1. Seek spiritual help.
Oftentimes, our problems transcends the ordinary. That is to say, they are not physical.
And when this happens, no amount of motivational words will ever be able to motivate us.
The only solution therefore will be to seek spiritual help.
But this will however depend on your religious faith and practices.
As a Christian, I overcame my depression through effective prayers and studying the word of God.
One of the scriptural verse that helped me was Phillipians 4:6, and it says:
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be known to God.Phillipians 4:6.
I just acted on that word of God and my healing process began, and today am thankful to God that I am in a position to motivate others.
2. Identify your goals for the day.
Don’t wake up and start doing whatever comes into your mind, you must first of all be able to identify your goals for the day, and only then will you be able to strategize on how to achieve them.
Your goals should aim to cover the following:
3. Seek for inspiration.
When you can’t seem to find the energy to work by yourself, then it’s wise to look into others to seek for inspiration.
Because seeing or learning about other people who succeeded in their goals and share successful stories, will motivate you to become like one of them.
For this reason, you need to find people and blogs who share and update motivational articles, stories, quotes, messages etc and make them a regular part of your day.
Find those podcasts, videos, books or short devotionals that will put you on the road to get started with your goals.

4. Celebrate your little successes.
Don’t wait until you totally complete that project before you celebrate.
You just have to stop and celebrate those little milestones of each project or goal you are starting to accomplish.
Call your family and close friends and throw a little house party.
You don’t know who might lend an helping hand or idea that will quickly catapult you to finishing the goal.
5. Always start somewhere and avoid procrastination.
Starting on something is always better than waiting to start.
Basically, you don’t have to wait to catch a motivation before you embark on your new project or goal.
All you have to do is start today and now, because every journey begins with a single step.
Never let procrastination prevent you from taking that first step.
6. Look at the big picture in a small mirror.
It could be profitable to always look at the big picture of your goals in a small mirror.
That is to say, break those big goals into tiny pieces.
There is no way you are going to finish writing a 120 pages novel in one bit.
So then, it’s wise if you set favourable time and break the book down into chapters and see how you can accomplish them within that time frame.
7. List out your goals.
This could have been the number one way to motivate yourself, but I brought it here to leave you with a lasting impression.
I personally love to list out all the gold I need to achieve for that particularly and cross them off one after the other as I gets them done.
You must be very realistic when you are listing out your goals.
Aim to accomplish at least 5 important things in on day.
Write your list around those and come up with a schedule.
