E.B. White Quote: If The World Were Merely Seductive…

meaning quotes

In this post, we are going to look at the meaning of a quote by “E.B. White” and it says:

Quote.

“If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.”

E.B. White

Meaning of quote:

As human beings, we are often caught up in the desire of improving or enjoying the world.

But to me, there would never be any enjoyment in a world that is not improved.

So I think our desire should first of all focus on improving the world so we could place it in a position that will make us enjoy it.

Thus, you cannot enjoy the world if you don’t improve it.

Good morning friend and have a beautiful day.
