On this post you will get to read our daily devotional from God’s word for Wednesday October 27 2021.
Most times in our daily lives, our busy schedule causes us to stay apart from our creator, but if we can only make it a point of duty of rising into a devotion with God every morning, I believe it will be worth it.
The scriptural text for our daily devotional from God’s word today Wednesday October 27, is taken from Ephesians 4:26
“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devilEphesians 4:26
Naturally, anger is a fore-runner of sin, because no one can tell the outcome of events in the heat of anger.
When we are angry, we tend to lost touch with our common sense, and at that instance we can take any action we might regret later.
Or even worse, never live again to regret.
Few weeks ago in my hometown, two friends had a misunderstanding because of a generator plug.
Out of anger, one hit the other on the head with a stick, and he died instantly.
This incidence, of course, occured due to anger.
So when the scripture tells us to be angry and sin not, it gets so complicated.
Now in the case of the 2 friends I mentioned above, they ha earlier fought and were seperated.
But while the deceased was relaxing at his verandah, the murderer hit him from behind with the stick and he died.
And this brings us to the understanding that we must always checkmate our anger.
Since it is very impossible for humans to overcome it, we must act according to the scriptures and never allow our anger to last long; so that it won’t lead us into sin.
May God save us all in Jesus name. Amen.
