Our bible verse of the day for Monday April 18, 2022 will be taken from the book of Mathew 13:19 and it says:

Bible Verse:

“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

Mathew 13:19.

Our bible verse for today shows us what happens to those who do not understand the word of God they hear.

And when we go to the scripture in 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, we realize that Satan is the one who blocks the hearer of the word of God from understanding it.

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded , who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ , who is the image of God, should shine on them.

How then can a human being understand the word of God?

How to understand the word of God.

It is the explanation of the word of God that helps the hearer of the word to understand it.

The entrance of your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.

Psalm 119:130.

After the explanation is made available, the hearer then is expected to practice the word in order to escape it being veiled.

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving yourselves.

(James 1:22)
