Bible Verse Meaning – Romans 12:2.

bible verse meaning

In this post, we are going to look at the meaning of the bible verse Romans 12:2 which says;

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Many a times, we we get so caught up in a quest for more money, freedom and material possesions.

And this in essence challenges our beliefs and morals so well.

Probably most of us became Christians because of what those who tell us what we are hitching to hear.

We may have been told that Jesus is going to solve all our problems; as well as give us peace and joy.

So we end up believing He is going to give us a happy family life; more blessings and abundant life.

However, all these claims are actually true, but they are only half of the picture they are painting for us.

Jesus might have promised us an abundant life (John 10:10), but He also said He is sending us out like sheep in the midst of wolves (Mathew 10:16).

And if we study all the harsh things Jesus predicted for us we will come to understand that as Christians, we are always at war against the hideous enemy.

And for that reason the scripture tells us not to be conformed to the standard of the world today; but rather seek for renewal of our mind so we can really distinguish between good and evil.
